Oxford Scientific Films

Oxford Scientific Films (OSF) an international image stock agency who have numerous offices based in various exotic locations around the globe agreed a few years ago to represent on an "image exclusive" selection of my wildlife and natural history work, this has just been extended to include my Environmental and Fine Art photography.

This not only provides me with a much greater stage to present my work on but also associates me with some of the worlds finest natural history photographers within this catergory of work, am I chuffed, you bet I am.

I have already started to prepare a large selection of my work which include images mainly from the UK and supported with some of my African and Falklands images. Believe you me this is quite a time consuming task to say the very least. Here is a brief summary of the workflow involved, all images must be Raw and provide a non-interpolated image of no less than a 40Mb file, Choose only extremely high quality images which they do not already have or have very few similars, Convert to Tiff, Adjust where necessary - keeping all adjustment to an absolute minimum, despot, and no sharpening. Provide a very accurate metadata including titles, keywording, camera and location info. Am I pleased I changed to Mac and Apperture late last year, as I find by using this in place of CS4 is dramatically saving me a vast amount of time.

Once my images are complete I send them immediately to OSF who in turn check them out and hopefully except them and upload them to their site accordingly. All that is left to do, is the small matter of the  selling the images.
