Last year, 2010 was the first year in which we introduced an optional extra for our courses and workshops, this being to be able to book any event on our itinerary as a 1-2-1 or 1-2-2 course/workshop. The number of bookings we immediately recieved confirmed our original thoughts of this being something that was most certainly wanted. The popularity and feedback from existing clients gave us the idea of also wanting to introduce an extended version of the 1-2-1 for this year. This being the option of also being able to book a 1-2-2.
What does a 1-2-1 or a 1-2-2 actually mean? Well it means exactly what it says: - "1-2-1" is where you book an exclusive day with John, therefore you or you and your friend are the only people in attendance,(unless a junior is involved), or you may book a friend to come with you and in turn share the cost. This would then be called a "1-2-2". The first question to be asked and point to be established, is what you wish the course/workshop to cover and what you want to gain from the day, if more than one person is attending, the chosen subject must be the same for everyone. Secondly, how many people will be attending? Once we have answered these questions we will arrange a brief get together (assuming distance not to be a problem), usually for a tea or coffee, at which time we will discuss in further detail your availability, where you want to go, and what you want to gain from the day. This meeting will only take place as and when an official booking has been made and confirmed.
A brief outline of a 1-2-1, 1-2-2 will include meeting up at a designated and agreed location around 09.30 to 10am with all your gear, clothing, refreshments etc ready for a busy and fun day. We will spend the whole day looking at how we can advise you to improve your photography and equally important, enjoying yourself. The day will progress at a speed which you are comfortable with and we will not move on intill you are happy to.
Following the pre-event meeting we will forward a fully proposed itinerary explaining in detail what the day will include and what equipment etc to bring with you.
Although it is common for John to take his own gear with him, it is purely for aiding in demonstrating various points and techniques to you, you will not see him taking any pictures for himself whilst on your day, unless you have been consulted and agree. However the odd candid may be taken involving yourself!!!
Please note that none of our course or workshop fees include that of meals, addmission charges and travelling costs (if applicable) and are subject to the terms of trade as laid down by Fotographic Images. Theft, accidental damage and public liability insurance is the responsability of each individual client.
