This workshop is being organised to give you the a greater understanding and opportunity to understand more about the world of "Fungi". The event is to be held in a large in a "North Cheshire" country park which will give everyone plenty of scope to obtain photographs without being hindered or hurried in any way.
The workshop will be organised as normal by "Fotographic Images", but will be led by a very well respected mycologist who is conducting a survey of the species available in the park. According to records there is in excess of 4000 diferent species of larger types of fungi registered in the UK. John will also be in attendence through the day to provide photographic guidance and tuition.
Some times people may shy away from this style of photography owing to the large investment which can be required for additional equipment, such as maco lens's, reflectors, low level tripods etc. This is not necassarly the case.
It is also very important to remeber that the earth which you will be crawling around on will be dirty and wet. Make sure you bring some warn, protective and waterproof external clothing.
Here goes : - Camera (Compact, SLR, D-SLR), assuming you will have an SLR or a D-SLR include your lens's from wide angle to telephoto, and if possible a macro lens or screw-on close-up lenses, these fit onto the front of your normal lens. Also include plenty of memory cards or Films, a tripod, bean bag, flash gun, remote cables etc.
It is always our recommendation, that when attending a workshop bring what ever equipment you have or may consider using. It would be a great shame to attend a days photography with such an experienced professional and suddenly realise that something you could have used is sat in the drawer at home, and we have all done this at some time or other!!!
On hand and in attendance all day will be our two resident proffessionals John Fairclough and assistant who will continually be providing advice, hints and tips.
