Equipment
At the time of constructing my web site I decided to leave out any evidence of what equipment I have, and for one main reason, this being that other sites I have looked at usually seem to include exactly this.
However throughout the past couple of years and since becoming professional, I have continually been asked at various events and via e-mail, "what gear do you use and why" and more recently people are wanting to know more about the types of software I use for both my imaging and management work.
Well here goes, below is a list of my principle camera and computer gear.
Canon Camera Body's:
1Ds MK III, 1D MK IV
Canon Lens's:
16/35mm f2.8L II USM, 24/70mm f2.8L USM, 105mm f2.8L USM Macro, 180mm f3.5L USM Macro, 70/200mm f2.8L IS USM, 300mm f4L IS USM, 500mm f4L IS USM, 1.4 MK II Convertor, 2X MK II Convertor, EF12 & 25mm Extension Tubes.
Accessories:
Gitzo 1348 Tripod, Arca Swiss QR Ball Head, Wimberely Side Kick, 550EX Flash Guns, 580EX MK II Flash Gun, ST-E2 Speedlite Transmitter, Better Beamer Flash Extender, LC3 Infra Red Remote Control, LowePro AW Rucksacks and Street & Field (Pouch) System and many more bits and pieces.
Computer Gear:
Admin Computer.
This consists of a PC which I use for all of my administartion, accounts, e-mails and internet connections etc. Backup is onto an external 300 Gb Maxtor hard drive.
Admin Software:
Windows XP Pro, Word, Excel, Office, Outlook Express, Handy Backup, Adobe Acrobat, and Avast Anti-Virus.
Imaging Computer.
For this purpose I use an Apple Mac computer fitted with "Snow Leopard" as my O/S. I have 4 x 1TB External Hard Drives, one for Aperture and one for CS4, the following two are for respective back up hard drives. My screen is an Eizo CG241 Professional 24" Flat Screen and is calibrated by using an "Eye-One Display Calibration" system, The majority of my printing is outputted on an Epson 4800 Pro A2 Large Format Printer. Additional ancillary equipment consists of: Nikon Coolscan 5000ED Scanner, and Epson 1290 and my office lighting is D65 Calibrated Tubes.
Digital Imaging & Management Software:
Aperture V2, Adobe Photoshop CS4, Adobe Acrobat V7, Capture One V5 Pro, OnOne PlugIn Suit 5, Nik Complete Plugin Package, Pictures To Exe, & Apple Anti-Virus.
